• Main announcement: EnergyNet’s Africa Energy Forum returns to Cape Town (16-19 June 2026) bringing together companies, investors and governments to accelerate Africa’s shift from energy access to industrial-scale infrastructure; the programme highlights transmission infrastructure, mining corridors, baseload capacity, and renewable projects and is sponsored/led by organisations including Sun Africa and other corporate and DFI sponsors.
• Background and programme details: The agenda includes a two-day critical minerals stream covering downstream processing and transport corridors (reserves representing over 30% of global supply), sessions on transmission and baseload (including 24/7 availability for data centers and manufacturing), energy trading, AI for revenue protection, case studies of the Lobito, Liberty and Simandou corridors, closed-door roundtables with DFIs, sovereign wealth funds, Middle East ministers and utilities, and a final-day YES!
